Family Homework Winners - Spring 2 2022
Well done to all of the Cayley families working together during the Easter break on their Outer Space family homework.
The winning classes are 2B in KS1, with 80%, and 4B in KS2 with 100%!
I make planets with my sister.

Me and my mum made cakes. I helped with the mixing and some of the icing. We followed instructions to make the icing. My mum made most of it. My favourite part was decorating and eating the cakes.

I worked with my dad to make my family homework. He rolled newspapers and made rolls and I painted the box. Then we used string and sellotape to hang the planets. At the end I put glitter inside the box. I had so much fun.
My uncle helped me spray paint the bottle to make it into a rocket. I used a cardboard lid to make my family homework and used paper to make the astronauts.
I made a solar system using: A Weetabix box, cut out planets and strings. I also used a bit of glitter to create a better effect. I really enjoyed making this with my mum and my little brother.
I made a water colour painting of the Challenger space shuttle. My mum and my sisters helped me. I drew the spaceship, The Earth, The Moon and The Sun. I mixed my own different shades of blue to paint outer space. It took two hours to make and I enjoyed using the water colours to paint my drawing the most.

Me and my family made aliens using cardboard rolls and paint. We put the aliens onto a tray and covered the outside with foil. We made antennas with pipe cleaners. I felt very proud of my family homework.

I worked with my brother and sister to make my family homework. My sister helped me make the stars and my brother me to think of how to make the planets. I used different materials to make it like paper, fabric and a plastic bag to make the sun shape. I enjoyed making my family homework.
I made an alien spaceship, it took two days to make and my dad helped me. I used paper mache for the planets, the Earth, Mars, Neptune and Venus and the Sun and the Moon. It was so much fun. The part I enjoyed most was the paper mache, there is a balloon inside the planets and then we covered it with paper and glue. I also used silver tape from B
Everyone in my family helped me make my rocket. I enjoyed putting the pegs on to show the launch off. I used sellotape, paper, a bottle and some pegs.
It was my idea to draw an astronaut. My sister helped me and we used card and coloured pencils. I enjoyed colouring in my astronaut.
I made a mobile of the solar system. I worked with my brother and my family. We used lots of colours to show what colours the planets are.
I did my family homework with my mum. The materials I used were a basket, a cut out flag from an egg carton and a finished roll. I also made use of my green paint which was lying around unused.
I really enjoyed making my 3-D model of a spaceship and my family supported me with this. I used different coloured paint, card and a water bottle for my model.
My sister supported me with drawing the planets in our solar system. I enjoy art and I used different shading techniques. I have learnt new facts too.
I wrote a poem and gathered facts after researching about planets. I enjoyed researching as I learned new information that I never knew before!
Me and my friend made the family homework together. We used a canvas, clay, paint, foam and a silver marker pen. We got all the materials and then me and my friend painted it. We painted all of the planets and then we glued them onto the canvas. We then shaped the clay into circles. I carefully put all the clay onto the canvas. I feel very excited that it could go on display. My favourite part was painting the sun and the planets. The skill that I used was putting the silver pen into the right place, then slowly curving the pen. Also selecting the right brushes for colouring the sun together.
I worked with my sister to create my Outer Space Mobile. We used string, paper, cardboard, colouring pencils and paint. I cut the paper into pieces and coloured it in to create planets. I used black paint to show the darkness of outer space on the cardboard. Then using white paint on a fork, I gently dabbed the fork onto the card to create stars. I used string and needle to attach the paper planets to the cardboard. It took a long time to create with my sister.
I drew some space around the astronaut. Basically, I have a paper and I colour it and I copy some from YouTube. I like drawing an astronaut.
My mum and me drew the Solar System on the wallpaper that we covered the cardboard with. The next day, my sister and me, painted the solar system and my brother helped me with the details. I liked the part I did with my mum.
I made a jet pack using some plastic bottles and cardboard boxes, my sister helped me to wrap it up in brown paper. I wanted to make it because I think the idea of a jet pack is fun.
I made a solar system mobile using a box and some ping- pong balls. It was really nice to do because all my family helped me to make it.
My dad gave me the idea of drawing an astronaut and hanging it in my model. My little sister used paint pens to help colour it in. I used googly eyes and a toilet roll to make the aliens. It was all fun!
My sister helped me with my homework. I can remember all the planets of the solar system and I remember them from our trip to the science museum.
